Sponsors

Help us put on great meetups.

AWS UG Trivandrum runs on volunteers and the goodwill of sponsors. If you help us cover venues, snacks, swag, and speaker travel, you get a focused room of AWS folks and cloud builders from across Kerala.

02 Why sponsor

The right room

AWS folks, cloud-curious engineers, and CS students. The people who pick (and quietly recommend) cloud tools at work.

Trust, not noise

No pitch-fests. Your brand sits next to talks people actually want to listen to, and that's exactly why folks remember you afterwards.

Hire from the room

A lot of our attendees are building, learning, and quietly looking. Sponsoring a meetup gets you face time with engineers you'd want to hire.

03 Ways to chip in

Pick what fits

We try to keep this simple. You can help with a single thing (snacks, venue) or cover the whole event. Either way, your name's on it.

Community

Snacks for the room

  • Logo on the event page
  • Shout-out from the stage
  • Stickers on the snack table

Venue partner

Host us at your office

  • Logo on the event page and slides
  • Welcome note (5 minutes) on the day
  • Booth space if you want it
  • Photos and videos from the event

Headline sponsor

Cover the whole meetup

  • Top billing on event page and slides
  • Opening slot to introduce your team
  • Booth, banner, and swag space
  • Recap blog post on our site
  • Hiring shout-out in our WhatsApp community

04 Where the money actually goes

No paid organisers, no profit

We are volunteer-run. Nobody on the team takes a salary from sponsor money. Here is roughly where every rupee ends up.

Snacks and coffee

Most of the budget. People stay for the chat after the talks, and a fed room is a happy one.

Venue costs

AV, chairs, seating capacity, sometimes a small room fee when we cannot find a community venue.

Speaker support

Local taxi, a thank-you gift, the occasional cross-city travel for a guest speaker.

Stickers and swag

Stickers for everyone, sometimes shirts or tote bags for speakers. Small things, but people love them.

05 Common questions

How much does it cost to sponsor?

Whatever fits you. The Community tier can be as small as paying for snacks at one meetup. The Headline tier covers a full event. Drop us an email and we will figure out something that works for both of us.

Do you take product sponsorships?

Sometimes. If you have a tool that our audience would actually find useful (developer tooling, observability, AWS-adjacent services), we are happy to talk. We do not run vendor pitches from the stage.

Can we hire from the room?

Yes. Sponsors get a one-line hiring shout-out and a chat with attendees. We do not pre-share contact details, but most people are happy to swap notes at the venue.

How often do you meet?

Once a month. Twelve meetups a year, give or take. So a yearly sponsorship gets you twelve rooms full of cloud folks.

Where does the money actually go?

Snacks, venue costs, speaker support, and stickers. No paid organisers, no profit, no fancy event production. See the breakdown above.

How do I get in touch?

Email organizers@awsugtrivandrum.in with a quick line about what you have in mind. We reply within a few days.

Drop us a note and we'll send back a quick rundown of upcoming meetups, expected crowd sizes, and what would actually help us put on the next one.
