Hey, welcome to AWS UG Trivandrum

We're setting up a new home for cloud folks in Kerala. Here's what we do, how we run things, and how you can hang out with us.

Hey, welcome to AWS UG Trivandrum

AWS User Group Trivandrum (we mostly just say AWSUGTRIVANDRUM) is a small but growing community of engineers, students, and cloud-curious folks in Thiruvananthapuram. We meet up every month, talk about what we’re building on AWS, and share the stuff that actually helped us at work.

Everything we run is volunteer-led. Everything is free. Everything is open to anyone who wants to show up.

What we usually do

A typical event has one of these three flavours.

Talks. Someone walks the room through a thing they shipped, or a service they got deep with at work. The good ones are about what broke, what they tried, and what they’d do differently.

Workshops. You bring your laptop, we build something together in 45 minutes or so, and you leave with code that runs. We try to make sure nobody gets stuck on setup.

Meetups. Once a month we get the community in one room. Quick lightning talks, food, lots of “what are you working on?” conversations.

How to plug in

The easiest way to stay in the loop is Meetup. That’s where we announce everything and where you RSVP.

If you’d rather hang out day to day, we also have a WhatsApp community where folks ask questions, share jobs, and complain about IAM. The link is on the home page.

What we pick to talk about

We try to be useful, not flashy. We want talks that actually change how you build the next thing, not slideware. No vendor pitches. Real architecture, real numbers, real trade-offs.

If you’ve shipped anything on AWS (a production app, an internal tool, even just a weekend project) and you have a story worth telling, we want you on stage. The CFP is open year-round.

See you at the next one.
